Issues of Sustainable Development of Geosystems and Their Legal Regulation Discussed within the Framework of an International Conference
The Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences hosted the section “Sustainable Development of Geosystems and Their Legal Regulation” within the framework of the international scientific and practical conference “Legal Support of Economic Security and Modern Industrial Policy” dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Professor S.U. Nurgissayev. The event became an important scientific platform for discussing the sustainable development of geosystems, rational use of natural resources, environmental security, digital technologies, and legal regulation issues.
The conference brought together scientists, university faculty members, young researchers, and doctoral students. During the section, participants presented topical reports devoted to sustainable development, rational environmental management, the ecological condition of industrial regions, renewable energy sources, geographic information systems, remote sensing technologies, and legal aspects of environmental policy.
The session opened with welcoming remarks emphasizing the importance of international scientific cooperation, the implementation of sustainable development principles, and the role of scientific research in ensuring environmental security. During the conference, the faculty’s scientists and researchers delivered presentations covering various scientific fields.
The scientific discussions held within the conference framework provided an opportunity to exchange experience in achieving sustainable development goals, ensuring environmental safety, and improving modern approaches to natural resource management. Participants highlighted the importance of implementing scientific research results into practice, expanding international cooperation, and developing effective legal mechanisms for environmental regulation.
At the conclusion of the event, it was noted that the presented scientific reports would make a significant contribution to the development of interdisciplinary research in geography, ecology, environmental management, and legal regulation.
