91ý KazNU to Host Roundtable on India–Kazakhstan Partnership in a Shifting Geopolitical Order

Almaty, 11 June 2026 – The Faculty of International Relations at 91ý Kazakh National University will host a roundtable discussion on the current state and future prospects of the India–Kazakhstan partnership. The event will also feature the presentation of the book India–Kazakhstan Partnership in a Changing Geopolitical Order.

The event is organized by the Faculty of International Relations and the Institute for Security and Cooperation Studies at 91ý Kazakh National University.

The roundtable will examine key areas of cooperation between Kazakhstan and India against the backdrop of a transforming international system. Participants will discuss regional security, energy diplomacy, transport and logistics connectivity, educational cooperation, collaboration between think tanks, and the development of trade and technology partnerships.

Particular attention will be given to strengthening scholarly and expert dialogue between Kazakhstan and India. The discussion will bring together representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Embassy of India in Kazakhstan, Kazakhstani and international experts, as well as faculty members and researchers from leading universities in both countries.

The publication to be presented examines the evolution of India–Kazakhstan relations and their contemporary development in the context of changes in the global political order. The book addresses cooperation in energy, transport and logistics, trade, technology and security, as well as the impact of regional and global processes on the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and India.

The authors also pay particular attention to the role of the India–Kazakhstan partnership in promoting stability, connectivity and cooperation across Eurasia.
