Young Scientists Council of the Faculty of International Relations Launches New Academic Podcast Projects
The Young Scientists Council of the Faculty of International Relations at 91ý Kazakh National University continues to implement new academic and media initiatives aimed at promoting science, supporting early-career researchers, and creating platforms for open academic dialogue.
One of these initiatives is the launch of the new podcast project “Bailanysta IRF”, developed by the Young Scientists Council with the support of the Faculty of International Relations administration, the Department of International Relations and World Economy, and the Talleyrand Diplomatic Club.
The first guest of the podcast was Farangis Kydyrbek, a third-year PhD student of the Faculty of International Relations. During the discussion, she shared her views on doctoral education in Kazakhstan, the academic environment of the faculty, and contemporary relations between China and the countries of Central Asia. She also spoke about the presentation of an annual academic publication dedicated to China–Central Asia relations and discussed her future research plans.

The first episode was hosted by Meruyert Shakirova, a young researcher of the faculty.
In addition, the Young Scientists Council initiated the release of a new episode of the IRD News podcast entitled “How AI Makes Youth Stronger — and Weaker”. The episode focuses on one of the most relevant topics of our time: the impact of artificial intelligence on younger generations.
The podcast was produced within the framework of the Talleyrand Podcast and IRF Diplomacy Media Lab projects and seeks to encourage academic discussion on the digital transformation of society. The episode explores the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence in education, professional development, and creative work, as well as the challenges associated with the rapid spread of AI technologies, digital dependency, and the preservation of critical thinking.
Participants share practical observations and discuss how digital technologies can both empower individuals and create new challenges for society, contributing to a culture of responsible and informed use of technological innovations among young people.

These projects represent an important part of the Young Scientists Council’s ongoing efforts to strengthen academic communication, support young researchers, and promote research in the fields of international relations, world economy, diplomacy, and digital technologies.
The Young Scientists Council expresses its sincere gratitude to the faculty administration, the Department of International Relations and World Economy, the Talleyrand Diplomatic Club, and all guests and contributors who supported these youth-driven academic initiatives.
