The importance of educational practice
Integrating education with real-world production is the most crucial stage in preparing modern economists. In this regard, guided by the core directions of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—specifically Goal 4: "Quality Education," Goal 8: "Decent Work and Economic Growth," Goal 11: "Sustainable Cities and Communities," and Goal 17: "Partnerships for the Goals"—a significant educational event was organized. June 3, 2026, became a memorable and informative day for 1st-year students majoring in "6В04109 – Digital Economics" at the Department of Economics, as part of their initial educational practice involved a special study tour to the production base of "Keremet Su SKE" LLP, a company well-known for its "Samal" bottled water brand. This event was successfully held in a natural practical environment as a field trip and an educational excursion within the framework of the curriculum on the topic of the second week: "The importance of educational practice." For the first-year students who have just recently entered the university, this tour became the first major stepping stone toward merging theoretical knowledge with actual production. During the trip, future digital economy specialists got a close-up look at the automated production cycle of "Keremet Su SKE," including the stages of deep water purification, multi-level filtration, and modern packaging and bottling. They witnessed all levels of the production base with their own eyes, studying how the plant's fixed assets—namely high-tech equipment and robotic systems—operate, while also observing the role of digitalization technologies in firm activities for the first time in practice and learning how to conduct a preliminary analysis of their economic efficiency. Qualified representatives and technologists of the enterprise warmly welcomed the young students and provided comprehensive, engaging information about modern IT solutions, automated quality control systems, and the efficiency of digital tools used in the production process to boost company profitability. Furthermore, the enterprise's immense efforts toward implementing the Sustainable Development Goals, creating decent working conditions for employees, and strictly maintaining safety regulations and environmental standards were demonstrated through concrete examples, allowing students to deeply understand how ecology and digital technology harmoniously intertwine. At the conclusion of the study tour, the first-year students actively shared their impressions and dynamically discussed the strategic role of the digital economy in real manufacturing, as well as its vital contribution to the process of environmentally sustainable development, which significantly increased their interest in their chosen profession. The main organizer and lecturer of the discipline who arranged this unique and productive educational study tour was PhD, Senior Lecturer Ilyashova Guliya Kenzhebekovna. Such practical events undoubtedly expand the professional horizons of young students and provide a powerful momentum for them to become highly competitive specialists in the future.
