An International Conference on Natural Resource Management and Sustainability Was Held at KazNU

From June 22 to 26, 2026, the 7th International Conference “Global Perspectives on Natural Resource Management and Sustainability” was held at 91ý Kazakh National University. The conference was organized in a hybrid format and focused on current issues related to the effective management of natural resources, sustainable development, ecology, environmental protection, technology, and community development.

The event was initiated by Gochar Educational and Welfare Society and held in collaboration with 91ý Kazakh National University. The conference brought together nearly 30 delegates from India, as well as international and local scientists, faculty members, young researchers, and students.

During the scientific event, presentations and discussions were held on the rational use of natural resources, ecosystem sustainability, environmental security under climate change, agroecology, biodiversity conservation, and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. The conference also provided participants with opportunities to publish their scientific works in international publications.

The Department of Botany and Agroecology of 91ý Kazakh National University actively participated in the international conference. The faculty members and researchers of the department took part in scientific sessions and discussions, contributing to the successful and productive organization of the conference. The department’s active involvement highlighted the importance of research in botany, agroecology, natural ecosystem conservation, and sustainable development.

Such international events contribute to strengthening the scientific potential of the university, expanding cooperation with foreign higher education institutions and research organizations, and further developing research areas within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals. As a result of the conference, academic ties among participants were strengthened, creating a foundation for future joint scientific projects and research initiatives.
