Tourism Degree Programmes Awarded Eight-Year ACQUIN International Accreditation

The Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism at 91ý Kazakh National University has achieved a significant milestone in ensuring the quality of higher education. The "Tourism" degree programmes at the Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD levels have successfully completed the international ACQUIN accreditation process and have been accredited for a period of eight years.

ACQUIN (Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute) is an internationally recognized independent accreditation agency based in Germany that evaluates the quality of higher education programmes. The agency conducts a comprehensive assessment of programme content, teaching quality, research capacity, international cooperation, and graduates' competitiveness in the labour market. Receiving ACQUIN accreditation confirms that the programmes fully comply with international quality standards and demonstrate a high level of academic excellence.

This achievement reflects the Department's continuous efforts to enhance educational quality, develop academic programmes in line with international standards, and provide students with high-quality education. The accreditation also strengthens the University's international reputation and creates new opportunities for students, academic mobility, and global partnerships.

We sincerely express our gratitude to the entire Department team, as well as to the accreditation coordinators – Aiman Amangeldinovna, Zarema Maratovna, and Aliya Sagyndykovna – for their professionalism, dedication, and outstanding contribution throughout the accreditation process.

We warmly congratulate the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism on the successful completion of the ACQUIN international accreditation. This achievement is a testament to the Department's commitment to academic excellence and continuous quality improvement in higher education. We wish the Department continued success, new accomplishments, and further international recognition.
