Within the framework of the activities  of the Center for Intercultural Communication and World Languages of the Faculty of Philology at 91��ý Kazakh National University, from August 2 to 14, 2026 “Russian and Uzbek Literature in the Dialogue of Cultures: The Literary Navigator and Contem[porary Teaching Methods”   professional development program  was  conducted  online and offline for   Asia International University instructors.

The course   comprised 54 academic hours and was aimed at enhancing the professional competencies of educators in teaching Russian and Uzbek literature, fostering intercultural dialogue, integrating professional educational experience  into literature teaching, and applying contemporary digital educational tools.

During the training,  the participants:

• explored Russian and Uzbek literature within the framework of intercultural dialogue; 
• analyzed literary characters through  their activities, values, and professional competencies; 
• mastered special educational  techniques applicable to literature classes; 
• created interactive digital materials and educational cards using Canva; 
• worked with Google Sites and Google Forms; 
• developed materials for the digital resource “Literary Navigator”; 
• participated in literary discussions, quests, professional interviews, and project-based activities; 
• completed practical assignments as  a  part of the Library Laboratory.

Particular attention was given to a practice-oriented approach: each training module was connected with the development of a specific educational product that can be used by instructors in literature classes or extracurricular activities.

The completion of the program marked an important stage in the participants’ professional development and provided an opportunity to integrate traditional approaches to literary education with digital technologies, project-based learning, and contempory teaching methods.

This  program  is  a continuation of the Center’s systematic efforts to enhance the professional competencies of educators, promote intercultural interaction, and introduce contemporary educational technologies into the teaching of the Russian language and literature.
