An international symposium in the field of artificial intelligence was held at KazNU
The 91ý Kazakh National University has organized an international symposium on the topic “Sino‑Kazakh innovations in the field of intelligent computing and artificial intelligence”.
Representatives of the domestic and international scientific community, IT specialists, and international experts took part in the large‑scale event, which was held jointly with the China Computer Federation (CCF).

Speaking at the opening of the symposium, the Chairman of the Board and Rector of KazNU, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, emphasized the importance of this meeting in achieving the strategic goal set by the Head of State, Kassym‑Jomart Tokayev, to transform Kazakhstan into a country that actively uses digital technologies and artificial intelligence.

“Cooperation between KazNU and the Chinese Computer Federation is developing on a systematic basis. Last year, our delegation took part in the National Computer Congress in Harbin, and in April of this year, a representative office of the Chinese Computer Federation in Almaty was officially opened on the basis of the university. Today’s symposium is a natural continuation of this fruitful partnership”,- the rector noted.

In turn, CCF Deputy Chairman Hai Jin highly praised the scientific and technological potential of the two countries and noted the relevance of conducting joint research and training young scientists to develop AI technologies.

During the meeting, experts presented the latest scientific developments and practical projects in the field of AI, analyzing their impact on the development of the economy and society. The participants paid particular attention to discussing large language models (LLM), agent systems, and specific ways to apply AI in medicine and agriculture.

The symposium continued with a roundtable discussion involving experts and special sectional seminars.
