New areas of cooperation have been identified
At the al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Vice-rector for Science and Innovation Margulan Ibraimov met with a delegation led by the rector of Bukhara International University Sharif Baratov. The main purpose of the meeting is to strengthen educational ties and identify new areas of cooperation in the research field.
During the meeting, Margulan Ibraimov focused on the scientific potential of KazNU, noting that the university has established close ties with 20 leading universities in Uzbekistan. The Vice-rector also spoke about the work carried out within the framework of the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the development of technical specialties and the commercialization of science, given during his visit to the university. In recent years, 50 new laboratories have been opened at the educational institution, and the scientific infrastructure has undergone significant modernization.

"We are ready to expand academic mobility with Bukhara International University, organize internships for undergraduates and doctoral students, as well as conduct joint winter and summer schools. In addition, I am sure that our collection of rare books, replenished with new publications on the history of Central Asia, will be of great scientific interest to Uzbek scientists",- said the vice–rector.

In turn, the rector of Bukhara International University, Sharif Baratov, shared BMU's experience in training personnel according to international standards in the fields of IT, economics and pedagogy. He expressed his intention to fill the current memorandum with KazNU with specific practical matters. "We are interested in holding joint conferences and establishing scientific collaborations. Our university publishes four journals from the list of the Higher Attestation Commission, which opens up good opportunities for publishing the research results of KazNU scientists. Our doctoral students also express interest in defending their dissertations at the scientific schools of KazNU",- Sharif Baratov said.

At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed issues of advanced training of teachers and the implementation of joint research projects. During the visit, a campus tour was organized for the guests with visits to the faculties of International Relations, Oriental Studies, Philosophy and Political Science.
