Academician Suragan Dorbetkhan revealed the secrets of the Riemann hypothesis

As part of a series of academic lectures dedicated to Science Day, al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a meeting with a world-class researcher in the field of mathematics, academician Suragan Dorbetkhan. The lecture by an experienced scientist has become an important part of events aimed at increasing the intellectual potential of the university.

The lecture on "Problems of the Millennium: the Riemann hypothesis" was attended by representatives of the scientific community, teachers and students of the university.

Opening the meeting, Kuanysh Tastambek, Director of the Department of Science and Innovation, elaborated on the significant scientific achievements of the academician. He noted that Suragan Dorbetkhan is the author of more than 90 scientific papers and two monographs, and also conducts world-class research on Hardy type inequalities and potential theory on Lie groups. Today, large-scale joint projects of Nazarbayev University and KazNU are being implemented under the scientific supervision of the scientist.

During the lecture, the academician explained the essence of the Riemann hypothesis and its fundamental place in modern number theory and analytical mathematics. "The Riemann hypothesis is not just a difficult problem, it is a fundamental problem that determines the vector of development of all mathematics. Solving this mystery will open the way for many scientific theories to reach a qualitatively new level",- the academician emphasized.

The scientist paid special attention to the practical significance of this topic, noting its key role in cryptography and information security. The academician also called on young researchers to be bold in their scientific search and strive to solve the fundamental problems of our time.

At the end of the meeting, the participants received answers to their questions and exchanged views on topical issues of modern mathematics.
