A scientific seminar was held at the Department of Geography, Land Management and Cadastre on April 14, 2026.
At this seminar, a presentation was delivered by doctoral student Askat Borombaevich Tuletaev of the educational program “8D05202 – Geography.”
The topic of the presentation was: “Development of scientific and applied foundations of landscape-agroecological zoning of the Turkestan region.”
During the presentation, the researcher comprehensively analyzed the natural and geographical features of the Turkestan region, its agroecological conditions, and examined the scientific and applied foundations of landscape-agroecological zoning of the region. In addition, the relevance of the study, its objectives and tasks, the methods used, and the main results obtained were presented in detail.

It was noted that the results of the study are important for the effective development of agriculture, rational use of natural resources, and ensuring environmental sustainability.
Scientific supervisor – Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor Irina Borisovna Skorintseva.
During the seminar, the speaker provided clear and well-founded answers to the questions raised by the participants. Overall, the seminar was conducted at a high scientific level, and the presented research stood out for its relevance as well as its theoretical and practical significance.
