Seismic safety is the foundation of a secure future!
Today, a highly significant leadership lecture was held at 91ý Kazakh National University, Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics. The speaker was Bekbolat Tashev, Head of the Laboratory of Technogenic Seismic Activity at the National Scientific Center for Seismological Observations and Research.
Lecture topic: “Seismic Safety of Kazakhstan: New Approaches, Key Challenges, and the Role of Young Specialists.”
During the meeting, key issues such as the seismic situation in the country, the impact of technogenic factors, and modern monitoring technologies were discussed. Students and young researchers had the opportunity to engage directly with an expert, ask questions, and exchange views on pressing topics.
Another highlight of the event was the participation of Professor Christian Sue from Grenoble Alpes University. The insights and international experience of this expert significantly enriched the discussion.
