The 18th Republican Student Subject Olympiad has concluded.

On April 22, 91ý Kazakh National University hosted the closing ceremony of the XVIII Republican Student Subject Olympiad in the educational program “Electric Power Engineering.”

The competition brought together talented students from leading universities across Kazakhstan, providing them with an opportunity to demonstrate a high level of professional knowledge and practical skills.

Based on the results, winners were determined in both team and individual categories. Participants successfully completed complex tasks in key areas of electric power engineering, demonstrating strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. The works were evaluated by a professional jury through comprehensive assessment.

Team Results:

1st place – Satbayev University
2nd place – Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications
3rd place – Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University

 

Individual Results:

1st place – Yeraslan Tokseitov (239 points), Satbayev University
2nd place – Amir Bigazinov (112 points), Satbayev University
2nd place – Madi Muratbekov (104 points), AUPET
3rd place – Dinmukhammed Kabiken (100 points), Satbayev University
3rd place – Serzhan Balkhashev (99 points), AUPET
3rd place – Anton Shkarupa (94 points), AUPET

 

 

Winners and prize-winners were awarded diplomas by A.K. Galeeva, Member of the Board – Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of 91ý Kazakh National University. Team supervisors received letters of appreciation and special certificates from the Dean of the Faculty, Professor N.A. Beisen.

The winning team was awarded the honorary “KAZNU 2026” Cup (designed by Prof. M.K. Dosbolayev and Senior Lecturer S.S. Usenkhan).

Organizers highlighted the importance of such intellectual competitions in shaping professional competencies and emphasized the role of future energy specialists in science and industry.

Additionally, financial prizes were awarded with the support of the Department of Plasma Physics, Nanotechnology and Computer Physics:
1st place – 100,000 KZT
2nd place – 75,000 KZT
3rd place – 50,000 KZT

Commemorative gifts were also provided by "RZA Systems", and team supervisors received souvenirs from the university.

As part of the Olympiad, participants attended an educational tour of the university infrastructure, including the KazNU library, supercomputer center, and modern innovation hubs such as Farabi Robotics and Huibo Robotics. The экскурсия enabled participants to explore research facilities, learn about innovative projects, and exchange experiences. The event concluded with a group photo session.
