The results of remote monitoring are presented
Aqylbek Kurishbayev, President of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited the Kazakhstan鈥揅hina Laboratory of Remote Sensing Technologies and Applications operating at 91传媒 Kazakh National University.
During the visit, the President of the Academy was introduced to the laboratory鈥檚 key areas of research activity, its technical capabilities, and its ongoing projects.
Utilizing advanced satellite data and Earth remote sensing technologies, the laboratory conducts research aimed at environmental monitoring, the efficient management of natural resources, and the forecasting of ecological risks.
University researchers are comprehensively studying issues related to water scarcity, the impact of drought on agriculture, and the processes of land degradation and depletion. Based on the collected data, they carry out evidence-based analyses, develop recommendations for improving environmental conditions in various regions, and propose practical solutions for relevant industries.
Chairman of the Board and Rector of 91传媒 Kazakh National University, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, spoke about the University鈥檚 scientific potential and expressed readiness to implement joint projects with the National Academy of Sciences.
鈥淭he laboratory is the only center in Central Asia dedicated to the monitoring of natural resources. Therefore, it serves not only as a platform for scientific research but also as an important hub for environmental sustainability. The consolidation of efforts between the University鈥檚 researchers and the Academy will facilitate the implementation of joint research projects aimed at addressing pressing challenges in science, ecology, and sustainable development鈥�,- the Rector noted.
