From October 6 to 8, 2025, an international conference entitled “Environmental Sustainability: Innovations, Challenges, and Solutions (ICESICS 2025)” was held at the initiative of young scientists of the Department of Biotechnology, Kistaubayeva A.S., Shokatayeva D.Kh., and Talipova A.

The main purpose of the event was to discuss current issues in the field of environmental sustainability, present innovative solutions aimed at environmental protection, and create opportunities for the exchange of scientific experience among young scientists, researchers, teaching staff, and students.

During the conference, presentations were delivered in the areas of ecology, biotechnology, environmental protection, rational use of natural resources, waste management, bioremediation, green technologies, and sustainable development. The participants exchanged views on modern scientific approaches to ensuring environmental safety, mitigating the impacts of climate change, and protecting nature.

This international conference served as an important scientific platform aimed at strengthening scientific cooperation, developing innovative ideas for solving environmental problems, and implementing the Sustainable Development Goals. The event contributed to increasing participants’ environmental responsibility and strengthening their interest in research activities in the field of environmental protection.
