On 3 July 2026, a ceremonial award presentation for the winners of the “Best Graduation Thesis” Competition was held at 91��ý Kazakh National University among students of the Faculty of Law and the Department of International Law of the Faculty of International Relations.

The competition was organized following the monitoring of the quality of graduation theses and was aimed at enhancing the responsibility of students and academic supervisors for the preparation of graduation research, promoting a culture of academic research, and recognizing the authors of the most outstanding and relevant academic works. 

The initiative was implemented as part of the University's systematic efforts to improve the quality of scientific research. In the spring of 2025, at a meeting of the Academic Council, the Rector of 91��ý Kazakh National University, Academician Zhanseit Kanseitovich Tuymebayev, identified among the University's strategic priorities the enhancement of research quality, ensuring the relevance and originality of Master's and PhD dissertation topics, and improving the coordination of research activities in accordance with the University's Charter and the state policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan aimed at strengthening the role of science. 

In pursuance of this initiative, the Minutes of the Scientific Coordination Center Meeting No. 2 dated 13 October 2025 established the annual “Best Graduation Thesis” nomination for students of the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of International Relations. Winners of the competition receive special diplomas and commemorative prizes. 

Opening remarks were delivered by A.A. Salimgerey, Director of the G.S. Sapargaliyev Institute of State and Law; U.A. Akhatov, Dean of the Faculty of Law at 91��ý Kazakh National University; A. Sharipova, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law; and K. Altayeva, Head of the Department of International Law. The speakers emphasized the importance of students' research activities, adherence to the principles of academic integrity, and the preparation of graduation theses that meet contemporary academic and professional standards. 

Following the competition, the best students were awarded diplomas and commemorative prizes.
