SDG-4: «Student Communication as a Factor of Successful Learning»

At the Faculty of Physics and Technology of 91ý Kazakh National University, within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: “Quality Education,” a seminar-training entitled “Student Communication as a Factor of Successful Learning” was held. The event was organized by the Research and Practice Center “Inclusive Environment” in collaboration with the Psychological Support Service.

 

The aim of the seminar-training was to promote a culture of effective student communication, develop constructive interaction skills, and highlight the importance of communication as a key factor in academic success. Active students of the Faculty of Physics and Technology at 91ý Kazakh National University participated in the event. They became acquainted with the fundamentals of productive communication, the principles of teamwork, and strategies for creating a supportive and positive academic environment.

The following key topics were discussed during the seminar:

  • The concept and types of interpersonal communication in the student environment;

  • The role of communication in the educational process and teamwork;

  • Active listening and constructive dialogue skills;

  • Prevention and resolution of conflicts;

  • Mutual support and cooperation as the foundation of academic success.

The practical part of the seminar included interactive exercises, role-playing activities, group tasks, and discussions of real-life situations from student life. These activities helped participants develop effective communication skills, express their opinions confidently, and demonstrate respect for different viewpoints. Students shared their personal experiences, discussed communication challenges, and suggested possible solutions.

As a result, participants gained valuable insights into the importance of communication within the academic environment, strengthened their communicative competencies, and recognized that academic success largely depends on teamwork, mutual support, and the ability to build trusting relationships. The seminar was conducted in a friendly and productive atmosphere that encouraged open dialogue and enhanced mutual understanding.

At the conclusion of the event, participants expressed their gratitude to the organizers and emphasized the importance of regularly organizing activities aimed at fostering a culture of communication and cooperation among students.
