91ý KazNU Celebrates International Children's Day
held at the military department of 91ý Kazakh National University. The vibrant children's celebration was organized by the "Parasat" Local Workers' Trade Union.
The solemn part of the event was opened by honored guests. T.K. Mekebayev, Chairman of the "Parasat" Trade Union, and Colonel O.V. Azhimov, Head of the Military Department, extended their warm congratulations to the young participants and their parents, wishing them a happy childhood, strong health, and an excellent summer vacation.
Sports Competitions and National Games
A rich interactive program was prepared for the children and grandchildren of KazNU employees, faculty, and professors. Several thematic areas were set up on the premises of the military department, where every child could demonstrate their athletic and intellectual skills:
Team Games: fun starts, relay races, and an exciting tug-of-war;
National Sports: competitions in asyk atu, lyanga, and the intellectual game togyzkumalak;
Classic Sports: tournaments in chess, badminton, and table tennis;
Interactive Zones: target shooting in a modern laser shooting range and dart throwing;
Creativity for Toddlers: a sidewalk chalk drawing contest.
"Happy Country — Happy Childhood" Creative Contest
The main highlight of the celebration was a grand children's concert, organized under the leadership of Zhanar Sartbay, Director of the KazNU Art Center.
In the run-up to the holiday, the "Parasat" Trade Union held a creative contest titled "Happy Country — Happy Childhood" for children aged 3 to 15. The winners of this contest received a unique opportunity to showcase their talents on the main stage. Young vocalists, dancers, reciters, and instrumental performers entertained the guests.
The culmination of the festive program was a massive dance flashmob, which brought together children, parents, and organizers in a lively, unified dance.
Awards and Prizes
At the end of the celebration, every child received special attention. All participants in the sports competitions and the creative contest were awarded certificates of merit and memorable prizes from the "Parasat" Trade Union. A delightful and long-awaited surprise for the children on this warm summer day was the distribution of ice cream provided by the "Shin-Line" company.
The event brought many positive emotions, strengthened corporate values, and reinforced family traditions within the large KazNU community, marking a bright and unforgettable beginning of the summer holidays.
