MIT Professor Harvey Lodish to Deliver a Lecture at 91传媒 KazNU

91传媒 Kazakh National University will host a series of important events dedicated to Republic Day with the participation of Harvey F. Lodish, Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, USA) and founding member of the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research.
The program includes three main events:
Leadership Lecture
Professor Lodish will give a lecture on the topic: “New Technologies and Building Successful Biotechnology Companies to Treat Diseases: A Personal Story.” The
lecture will take place on the 15th floor of KazNU from 11:00 to 12:30.
Laboratory Visit
The professor will visit the laboratories of the Departments of Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Biotechnology at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology. The visit will take place from 14:30 to 15:30 at the GUK-6 building.
Campus Tour
The final part of the program will be a campus tour, where Professor Lodish will be introduced to KazNU’s scientific and innovative infrastructure. The tour will be held from 15:30 to 16:30.
The special guest of the event will be Michelle Erkin, U.S. Consul General in Almaty. The lecture will be moderated by Academician of the National Academy
of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor A.K. Bisenbayev, Director of the Research Institute of Biology and Biotechnology at KazNU.
These events will provide students and young researchers of KazNU with valuable opportunities to exchange experience and strengthen the university’s international scientific cooperation.
